Milan Fashion Week has just finished, and yet again I have
done a post on my favourite beauty looks and trends from the catwalk.
First, to my favourite designer, Jil Sander (I love you Jil) who has focused on my two favourite elements of makeup, amazing skin and strong brows. teamed with slicked back hair, its the perfect minimalist look to compliment her beautiful collection.

Now call me biased, but I loved the hair and makeup at
Emilio Pucci because this is basically my everyday look! Heavy fringe? Check!
Long tousled hair? Check! Black liner flicks? Check! Copycat.

Wet-look hair with lots of texture was a big trend in Milan,
making appearances at Prada, Genny and Alberta Ferretti.

Hair was BIG and 70’s inspired at Bottega Venetta, smooth
and glossy at the roots , turning into loose waves with fluffy, brushed-out
ends

Waves were more structured at Francesco Scognamiglio,
repeating the trend in seen in New York for waves that looked like braids that
had been slept in, then unravelled. I love it on the side here, just revealing
an angular smoky eye.

Smoky eyes were also seen at Gucci in warm shades of brown
and bronze. The look initially had a red base, before the colour was layered on
top and finished with lashings of mascara.

Makeup was classic, feminine and elegant at Dolce and
Gabbana and Emporio Armani, with clean skin and scarlet lips. The lips in both
collections were a perfect scarlet; not too orange and not to blue, but a balance
of both.
I liked Marni’s take on the red lip, which was smudgier and
more of a stain. Paired with the slick hair here, the Marni girl looks like she
has been blown around a little by (very expensive) bad weather, which is
adorable and great for any UK residents, as that is how we look pretty much all
year round!

Fendi pared a dark lip with beautiful flawless matte skin
and a strong brow. I have been loving dark lips recently and used the look in a
couple of shoots. It surprisingly wearable too, with lots of mascara it makes a
memorable evening look. For the hair, Fendi used a tight french braid down the
back of the head, definitely a look that could be done at home, without the fluffy
headpiece, unless you’re feeling brave!)

Finally, there was a little more of the grungy goth girl
seen in London at Roberto Cavalli, however our Italian goth is a little
glossier and embracing the poker straight hair trend which has been extremely popular
so far in Fashion month.
